On Thursday at 7pm, we find out what plans the government has for 2022.
For the first time in history, the State of the Nation Address will not be delivered in the National Assembly.
Instead, MPs will converge on the Cape Town City Hall.
It has been a year of a pandemic, high unemployment, civil unrest, power cuts, and the unearthing of more corruption.
So, what promises will President Cyril Ramaphosa make to the nation this time around that they haven’t already heard?
It will be the sixth time he makes a State of the Nation Address, in which he will outline the country’s priorities for the coming year.
But just how many of those he made last year have come to fruition?
