Johannesburg – On 10/11/2017 at about 14h30 JMPD Freeway Unit with the assistance of the Alexandra SAPS Crime Pevention Unit succesfully apprehended 2 armed robbers.
JMPD Freeway Unit received a radio call about a Honeydew business been robbed and the suspects were seen travelling on N1 North in a black and a White VW Polo.
JMPD managed to catch up with the suspects’ vehicles on N1 near N3 interchange and brought them to a stop.
2 suspects were arrested but 1 suspect managed to escape.
2 illegal firearms, ammunitions, cellphones and cash were seized from the suspects.
The 2 suspects will appear in court to face charges of armed robbery.
Police is on a manhunt for the 3rd suspect.
