In a jaw dropping exposé about political killings, Pompie Ledwaba of the Mashishing Civic Coalition implicated deputy president David Mabuza in political killings in the Mpumalanga province dating as far as 2009.
David Mabuza popularly known as the “cat” within the political sphere was described by the whistleblower Pompie Ledwaba as a “political monster”.
Political killings especially those initiated by ANC big wigs is said to have been ongoing for a long time, but the perpetrators seem untouchable.
The whistleblower whom many now feel should be protected after coming out revealed that there are known 37 political killings from 2009 – 2017 under David Mabuza’s reign in Mpumalanga. Pompie Ledwaba calls Mabuza a political monster, who collapsed the rule of law in the province.
“Mpumalanga province is a province of mercenaries. The President knows it. It’s anarchy,” Ledwaba said live on eNCA during an interview with JJ Tabane.
Ledabwa further dropped more bombshells about the state of affairs in Mpumalanga which he said residents talk of murders, corruption, assassination, and also not recognising David Mabuza as a deputy president of the country.
In Mpumalanga province it is said that those being used by politicians to carry out political killings are usually foreigners who get paid to return to their countries after accomplishing the mission.
“They like illegal immigrants because they use them as their hitmen. They give them R100 000 for them to go back home after killing their targeted people,” said Pompie Ledwaba.
This exposé also comes at a time Mpumalanga MEC for Agriculture Mandla Msibi was released on R20, 000 bail following the two counts of murder he is facing.
Addressing his supporters outside the court, Msibi said he is going to request a meeting with ANC national executive as he also have beans to spill in relation with the political killings.
