On the 16th of June 2021, a testimony was shared on Facebook about what Zimbabwean men do for our South African women which makes them become the preferred ones in communities.
There are some traits which certain people have which makes them win hearts of women and when things get bad, women stand by them.
Malaika Mahlatsi shared a story on her Facebook page of how she told a man who is not her boyfriend that she was hungry over the phone as she had not cooked in her house.
The man simply asked her what she wanted to eat at that time and she replied, “Nandos.”
Without saying a word, the man logged into his Uber Eats application and ordered food for her.
The man had a different touch from what other men usually do who record calls and share to the world on social media platforms that a lady has asked for a Nandos meal.
Such men are hard to come across and later on she disclosed that he is Zimbabwean and this is what is common with Zimbabwean men.
The story attracted mixed reactions from her 155 000 Facebook followers as ladies seemed to appreciate the gentleman for such a kind gesture.
His behaviour is something that is missing in communities as men usually demand something in return or broadcast to the world when one asks for such small favours.
One user who confessed to be Pedi claimed he does the same for his pears as he buys them food without saying a word.
He was applauded for being an outstanding man as this was said to be not common from people of his village.
Some suggested that she spends so much time with Zimbabweans that is why she enjoys such benefits.
If she could have spent more time with South African men, she could have got the chance to enjoy some unique benefits which she can find in no other men.
Other South African men felt offended by her post and began hauling insults towards her. Some even went on to body shame her but Malaika did not back down.
She went on to say, “South African men must explain to me where they get the energy to come and insult me on my wall when they never have energy to give us o_rg_as_ms.”
She fumed, “WHY IS THAT ENERGY ONLY ON YOUR FINGERS WHEN YOU TYPE BUT NOT BELOW THE BELT? WHY?”
Below are some of the reactions to the post by Malaika Mahlatsi regarding the post.
