Tsonga musician and reality TV star Papa Penny Penny, real name Eric Nkovani, has lashed out at Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema in a video clip that is doing the rounds on the internet on Tuesday morning.
Penny appears to be reacting to Malema allegedly mentioning him at a rally.
“I hate Julius Malema,” he begins in the video clip.
“Now you are pressing a wrong button.
“When you go to your rally, leave Penny Penny alone, I’m a member of ANC, I’m not a member of EFF.
“Why you tell people that I’m not educated? Because you, you think you’re clever when you faked your education. You adopt the western language, you think you’re a clever. You think all South Africans went to school. When I was born, you don’t know my history. I never see a leadership like you who laughs at people who never went to school. I’m not like you, ANC is not like you who’s robbing your councillors money,” said Penny Penny.

Responding to the backlash, Malema, in laughter, told Penny Penny that he was his “main man”.
“Ahee!” said Malema.
It was reported last year that Penny had entered the world of politics.
At the time Letaba Herald reported that he was a ward councillor in the Giyani Local Municipality and had set his sights on running for the position of Limpopo ANC chairperson.
Papa Penny said he wanted to end tribalism in the region because Tsonga people were discriminated against, especially in the provincial government.
The Tsonga disco king, last seen on television as a panelist for Comedy Central’s Roast of AKA, was a choirmaster at Mzansi Magic’s Clash of the Choirs, and had a successful reality show, Mzansi Magic’s Papa Penny Ahee.
