They probably might be waiting to see how serious the people are towards their demand before they can weigh into the matter.
We all are very aware that the Put South Africa First Movement and operation dudula has been at the forefront of groups agitating for a controlled Immigration sector, and there have expressed their dissatisfaction through protest and shutting down of economic activities carried out by unauthorized persons.
However, a recent statement made by the Minister for Home Affairs, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi has proven that the government of South Africa is eager and willing to work with civil society organizations like ‘Operation Dudula and Put South Africa First Movement’ in order to end all forms of illegal immigration into South Africa.
The Minister during his nationwide address yesterday said; “We don’t want civil society organizations anymore to deal with issues of Immigration in the manner in which there are dealt with, by people running on the streets, chasing each other and sometimes even attacking each other because sometimes they have no recourse.
We want civil society organizations to come and sit in the immigration board and help to take decisions on behalf of the country” Dr Motsoaledi said.
Literally holding back tears as I listen to Minister Motsoaledi inviting #PutSouthAficansFirst to be part of the Immigration Board that will regulate migrants in South Africa.
I cry not at the invitation but at the validation of our 3 year struggle for immigration reform!
