Former radio personality Ngizwe Mchunu will withdraw the case he opened against the KZN premier.
He announced this on Monday night.
Mchunu and Premier Sihle Zikalala opened cases of alleged assault and crimen injuria against each other after an alleged altercation during the Ingoma Kazwelonke Festival for traditional dancers, held last month in Durban.
Lennox Mabaso, the Premier’s spokesperson said on Monday night that Zikalala has noted and welcomed the statement by Mchunu.
He said:
“The Premier confirms that both himself and Mr Ngizwe Mchunu have amicably decided to withdraw charges against one another. The Office of the Premier will not make any further comments and consider this matter closed.”
