Kids are experiencing trauma at a tender age and it warps their lives completely.
On April the 13th, there was a shooting at a garage at Greytown. People scattered quickly and ran for safety but one man, Sbusiso Ngcobo, lost his life. This man was shot 7 times, and then the shooter grabbed the victim’s wallet and walked off like he’s in a movie.
Of course, such a story will have a lot of people trying to chip in their 2cents, both sensitive and insensitive.
For the most part, most comments dwelled on one section of the CCTV recording where a mother forgot her son and dashed off; teaching him it’s one man for himself at such a tender age.
There’s a general consensus on the TL where most are assuming that the shooting was meant for the guy who was shot. The shooting was so specific that it’s not out of question to assume such.
If this was just a robbery, the bullets could have gone in different directions but the shooter went straight to the man and shot him enough times to make sure that he’s dead.
If it was a robbery, he could have easily shot at people to make sure they remain behind and give him what he wants but he was shooting to kill and the grabbing of the wallet may just be a distraction tool to make observers assume that it was indeed a robbery.
“Crime goes so unpunished in this country that this guy fired 7 shots, killing a man, in public view and jogged away like he just came to get a pack of cigarettes. Scary,” one tweep observed
Thoughts? Could the speculations be right or we are overreaching?
