The Pietermaritzburg High Court sided with King Misuzulu in the dispute between the two princesses and their mother Queen Sibongile Dlamini Zulu. Both were undermining the late King’s will’s validity. Judge Mjabuliseni Madondo ruled that the three cases involving the Royal Household would be adjudicated on an individual basis. Madondo emphasized that the late King’s children were able to demonstrate that the will’s suspicion had a direct effect on them. He stated that the case was remanded for a new trial due to the disagreement between the signatory experts.
The Judge stated that while one expert asserts that the signatures on the will are not identical, another asserts that upon closer examination, it is clear that only one person’s hand is signing. This means that the case must be heard in order for the proper decision to be rendered. Prince Ntandoyenkosi told the media today that they had filed two court applications.
The first application was for the marriage of the Queen’s mother, Sibongile MaDlamini Zulu, who desired that it be emphasized that she was the only legally married individual. The second application is to establish the will’s authenticity due to unsatisfactory circumstances. The late King made it clear to members of the Royal family that anyone who contests the will is not entitled to a diam. The Judge stated that this fact casts doubt on their cases, as he is now late and will have no knowledge of what occurred following his death. As a result, the two Princesses contested the legitimacy of the Late King’s will.
According to the experts, the same pen was used but with different signatures. As a result, the two women decided to pursue the matter in court. When the media asked the princess if they would accept the judgment in their mother’s case, she stated that she would not comment. Concerning the Zulu tradition that the heir must come from the great wife, Ntandoyenkosi stated that she is unaware of it and has never heard of it. When asked if it was true that a King must come from a royal bloodline, the princess stated that she, too, is unaware. She only revealed that the royal family has not met to discuss the succession. She even stated that the late King was never referred to as Bayede prior to his coronation. She continued, “The court does not nominate the King; that is the responsibility of the Royal Family.”
