Former president Jacob Zuma’s daughter with his ex wife, Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs minister, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma received criticism after she complained about ANC stuff workers not being paid their salaries for months.
Thuthukile Zuma said the stuff at ANC is being abused and that she stands with them as they picket in demand of their salaries.
“The ANC staff really is being abused at this stage. We stand firmly with them against their unprecedented exploitation,” she said.

Social critics however didn’t like Thuthukile Zuma’s utterances and suggested that instead of her being sympathetic and standing firm with the protesting ANC workers, why can’t she ask her father for the Gupta change and pay the workers their salaries.
“Ask your Dad to use the Gupta change to pay them,” said a social media user.
ANC workers in different provinces are picketing outside ANC regional offices over unpaid salaries. The workers demand that outstanding salaries be paid immediately, and that their medical aid be reinstated now.
Nationally, about 247 staff members are affected.
Prior to the build-up of the local government elections, workers had insisted that they would not take part in election campaigning, but they later changed their decision two days after they had announced it.
They then committed to setting aside their frustrations to participate in winning the confidence of voters.
ANC workers expressed that they are “very angry” about the non-payment of their salaries and are disappointed about the attitude of the party’s leadership.
As a result of their frustrations they have resorted to expressing their disgruntlement through the picket. Speculation has it that they are also considering approaching the CCMA and to seek legal advice.
This is the first time in the history of ANC that such incidents are happening and that ANC workers are protesting against the party over non payment of their salaries.
