It is said that people should not speak ill of the dead. Sadly, if you are in the public’s eye, people will continie to speak about you despite even after death despite saying that you should rest in peace.
It started with Genius Kadungure who was a multimillionaire Zimbabwean and passed away in November die to air car accident. People spoke ill of him, about using a snake to accumulate wealth. Some went to the extent of suggesting that he was a member of a demonic cult.
Just this passed weekend, South Africa’s Queen Of Kwaito ‘Mshoza’ was laid to rest. She died of diabetic complications. But a few days after she was laid to rest, her friends came out and made serious claims about how her family did not love her.
According to southafrican-news.com, Mshoza’s friends allege that her family was never there for her when she was sick and that only her friends stood by her. They also claim that her sisters did not take care of her when her health was poor, and that her friends nursed her back to health.
Mshoza’s friend who wants to remain anonymous also revealed that before Nomasonto (Mshoza’s real name) died, she asked her to take care of her children should she die.
“Over the past months, they hid Sonto and she didn’t even have a phone. Her friends didn’t have access to her and we were worried. We even considered going to the police. If Sonto said her kids must stay with someone else, it means they had problems. It means she didn’t trust them with her children’s lives.” – Mshoza’s friend
Another source said that Mshoza’s sisters did not respect her funeral wishes, because she loved white bit instead of them getting her a white casket, they got her a pink one.
They say that blood is thicker than water, but it is quite sad when the very people who should stand by your side through thick and thin, they forsake you when you need them the most.
The really is a thin line between love and hate.
