Bafana Bafana ended their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign with a 2-1 loss to Senegal on Tuesday evening.

Bafana had the first chance in the 10th minute. A long free-kick into the opposition box was headed across goal by Clayton Daniels and Morgan Gould’s volley went over the bar.
After 26 minutes, Percy Tau was taken down in the box and appealed for a penalty but the referee waved play-on.
55th minute Opa Nguette goal after Khune was caught off his line. Opa chipped the ball into the back of the net from 25-yards out to give his side a 1-0 lead.
63 minutes, Themba Zwane was fouled in the box and a penalty was awarded. Zwane stepped up took the penalty but failed to hit the target.
A minute later, Tau found the back of the net after a quick counter-attack, he made no mistake as his finish levelled the scores a 1-1.
Added time Mbodji was not to be denied for a second time as he rose highest again and headed past Khune to see Senegal score in the final minute of the game 2-1 home win and top of the group.
