South African acting legend Seputla Sebogodi has passed away at the age of 70 following complications related to diabetes, his family confirmed.
He died on the evening of 15 July, leaving behind a rich legacy in theatre and television. He was known for memorable roles in popular shows such as Generations, Suburban Bliss, Bophelo ke Semphego, Redemption and Scandal!. On stage, he appeared in productions including Big Dada, Waiting for Godot, The Rivonia Trial, Once a Pirate and Mooi Street Moves.
Tributes have been pouring in from across the entertainment industry, with colleagues and fans remembering him as a gifted performer who brought depth and warmth to every role he played. His family has asked for privacy as they mourn their loss.
