In a recent episode of the South African podcast “Not Sorry,” content creator and entrepreneur Munaka Muthambi, alongside Seemah Mangolwane and other hosts, made headlines with their controversial discussion on polygamy and age differences in relationships.

Munaka’s bold assertion that she would only consider polygamy if it involved substantial financial gain has sparked significant debate on social media.

During the episode titled “Polygamy, Age Gaps & Modern Love: Where do you draw the line?” the hosts characterized polygamy as “glorified cheating.” They argued that many men employ it as a means to justify infidelity rather than as a genuine commitment to a multi-partner lifestyle.

Munaka stated, “The only way I would ever do polygamy is if this person is giving me a considerable amount of money. It won’t be for love; it will be for financial reasons.”

This statement quickly went viral, drawing a wide range of reactions from listeners. Some users on X (formerly Twitter) expressed agreement with her perspective, while others criticized her for prioritizing money over meaningful relationships.

Comments varied, with one user suggesting Munaka’s stance indicated a troubling reliance on financial incentives, while another questioned her ethical principles.

Despite the backlash, Munaka received support from some followers who appreciated her honesty. One user defended her by stating that many people misunderstand her views, while another expressed agreement with her take on the complexities of polygamous relationships.

In addition to the podcast controversy, Munaka recently confirmed her breakup with her white boyfriend, which also elicited mixed reactions from her followers. While some sympathized with her, others speculated about her motives for sharing her relationship status publicly.

Overall, the discussions surrounding Munaka Muthambi’s comments continue to resonate, highlighting the ongoing debate about polygamy and personal values in contemporary relationships.
