Award-winning artist MaWhoo has expressed frustration over what she says is an attempt by her former boyfriends to tarnish her image.

The singer, known for the hit song Ngilimele, accused her exes of spreading falsehoods about her and paying blogs to propagate these fabrications.

Taking to her Instagram stories, she said it was absurd to be misrepresented for things she knows nothing about. She added that her exes are so fixated on her that they resort to paying bloggers to slander her name, and that she is done with the situation.

One social media user shared her sentiments, writing that MaWhoo claims her exes are bribing bloggers to spread lies about her.

Fans, who are rarely given insight into her romantic life, were left trying to figure out who the exes might be. The revelation sparked a flurry of reactions online.

Some users joked about who had been lucky enough to date her, while others suggested she should have stayed quiet and let the matter blow over. One user commented that men can be cruel if they despise someone that much.

In the midst of the drama, rumours also circulated about MaWhoo and Hlubi Nkosi possibly parting ways, as suggested by a controversial Instagram account. The account pointed to cryptic messages posted by both on their stories. Neither MaWhoo nor Hlubi has confirmed or even acknowledged their relationship, leaving the speculation unresolved.

Previously, AI-generated images of MaWhoo and DJ Maphorisa also made waves online, keeping the singer in the spotlight.
