On March 18, police, Employment and Labour, and Home Affairs officials inspected five factories in Chatsworth, confirming one employed 15 foreign nationals without proper documents and detaining the owner. Today, a separate raid at a Pinetown textile factory is screening up to 150 workers, mostly believed to be foreign nationals, with verification ongoing.

Colonel Robert Netshiunda stated these actions enforce compliance and protect job opportunities for South Africans, part of broader inspections across KwaZulu-Natal.
