The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry has been presented with troubling testimony regarding the murder of Mtwa Namhla, shedding light on alleged irregularities in the investigation and prosecution of the case.

According to testimony, Shadrack Sibiya allegedly recalled the docket related to Namhla’s murder on two separate occasions, just as law enforcement was preparing to arrest a suspect. These alleged actions have raised serious questions about possible interference in the pursuit of justice.

The victim, Mtwa Namhla, who worked in the Budget and Treasury Office at the municipality, was reportedly shot by a hired hitman. The circumstances surrounding the killing have sparked public outrage, with many questioning whether justice has been deliberately obstructed.

The commission continues to probe the case, with witnesses testifying about possible manipulation and cover-ups. Legal experts say such allegations, if proven, could point to systemic weaknesses in municipal oversight and law enforcement integrity.

Authorities have pledged to ensure a thorough investigation and have emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in high-profile cases such as this, highlighting the importance of restoring public trust in the justice system.
