Ntsiki Mazwai Claims Floyd Shivambu Wields More Influence Than Ramaphosa – Sparks Fiery Debate

Controversial poet and activist Ntsiki Mazwai has set social media ablaze with her bold declaration that EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu holds more genuine political influence than President Cyril Ramaphosa. In a viral video posted this week, Mazwai argued that while Ramaphosa’s power comes from financial backing, Shivambu’s stems from organic public connection.

“Cyril has money buying him PR and positions, but Floyd’s influence is real,” Mazwai asserted. “Nobody campaigns for him – his impact lasts like mine has, unlike those propped up by privilege.” The comparison to her own career longevity drew both support and skepticism across platforms.

Political analysts note Mazwai’s timing coincides with shifting parliamentary dynamics, as the MK Party fills vacant National Assembly seats. Her remarks amplify ongoing debates about money versus authenticity in South African politics – with Shivambu remaining a lightning rod figure.

This isn’t Mazwai’s first provocative political intervention, but it may be her most direct challenge to presidential authority. As the discourse continues, one thing is clear: in the battle between bankrolled power and street credibility, South Africans remain deeply divided on who truly holds influence.
