South African actor Abdul Khoza, best known for his roles in The Wife, Isibaya, Shaka iLembe, and Uzalo, has shocked fans by announcing his retirement from acting.

The celebrated star shared the news in an emotional Instagram post, reflecting on his journey and leaving behind advice for aspiring actors.

A CLASSY FAREWELL
In his post, Khoza revealed one of his final audition tapes, using it as a teaching moment for up-and-coming performers.

“This is my way of showing those who wish to pursue acting that we all go through auditions. Getting a role requires hard work, and this is my last self-tape,” he wrote.

He thanked his fans for their unwavering support, saying, “Thank you to everyone who ever supported my journey as an actor. I am honored to have shared my talents with you. I would have never known my talent without you.”

FANS AND COLLEAGUES REACT
The announcement touched many, with fellow actors and fans flooding the comments with heartfelt messages.

  • Sthembiso “SK” Khoza wrote: “Giving you a standing ovation. What matters is that we arrived, served, and conquered our roles. Many won’t understand our decisions, but we do. Onwards and upwards, King.”

  • Masasa Mbangeni added: “You’re incredible. I hope we get to see you again soon.”

  • Thato Immaculate shared: “We’ve truly lost you, Bhuti, but I know you’ll gain in your next chapter. Thank you for being brilliant.”

Khoza recently exited The Wife, though fans didn’t realize it would mark his final acting role. While he hasn’t revealed his future plans, his legacy in South African television remains undeniable.

As the industry bids farewell to one of its finest, fans are left wondering—what’s next for Abdul Khoza?
