The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Public Works and Infrastructure has filed criminal charges against Musa Zondi, the recently dismissed director of supply chain management.
Zondi is accused of negligence that led to the department awarding 29 contracts, valued at a total of R1.1 billion, to a single company.
Prior to his role in the department, Zondi served as the regional secretary of the ANC in the General Gizenga Mpanza region.
