Six murder suspects have been killed in a shootout with KZN police in Durban.
The men were wanted in connection with several murders, the most recent being the slaying of four people in Mariannhill last night.
Members of the eThekwini District Trio Tracking Team located the men at a flat in South Beach.
The group allegedly opened fire on officers, resulting in a gun fight.
Guns have been recovered at the scene.
