TV host Xolani Maphanga and his bodyguard are set to appear in the Soshanguve Magistrates Court, Tshwane, on Tuesday, 21 May, following a postponement for further investigations. This development comes after their initial court appearance on Tuesday, 16 April, which resulted in both being released on bail of R5 000 each.
The duo, comprising the presenter—who is also a director and owner of Tshenolo Private Investigation company—and Bongani Mkhabela (33), faces serious charges. They are accused of three counts of attempted murder and trespassing, classified as a schedule 5 offence.
The allegations against Maphanga and Mkhabela have drawn significant attention, given Maphanga’s prominence as a media personality. The court proceedings are highly anticipated as the investigation progresses, and the legal process unfolds to determine the facts surrounding the case. What opinion do you have on this matter?
