There has been plenty of speculation surrounding Khanyisa Mayo. He has made it know that he would love to play for Kaizer Chiefs resonating with the fact that his father played for the glamour boys. He was one of the outstanding players in 2022/2023 season. Khanyisa Mayo, a sought-after striker, has stated that despite earlier having Chiefs interested, he is now dedicated to Cape Town City. The gifted forward was frequently mentioned in connection with the Soweto giants, especially during the January transfer window. Though the agreement finally failed, there was conjecture that Chiefs may reopen talks in an effort to get the gifted attacker to Naturena for the upcoming campaign.

However, Cape Town City moved fast to extend the playmaker’s contract to June 2028, as SABC Sport revealed earlier this month. The Cape club first exercised the option in his contract before putting out a staggering new offer, demonstrating the club’s lack of interest in losing the services of such a quality player. However, it’s interesting to note that Mayo’s father has said he might have benefited from relocating to Naturena.

Patrick Mayo said “Unfortunately he has already signed an extension with Cape Town City. Yes, obviously, I would encourage him to go and play for Kaizer Chiefs because as we speak at the moment, Chiefs do not have a striker. He can easily fit in at Chiefs.” While talking to Scrolla Africa. Do you think Khanyisa Mayo would succeed at Kaizer Chiefs? Comment your answer below, share and hit the like button please.
