Durban City FC Mourns the Passing of Player Sinamandla Zondi

Durban City Football Club has announced the tragic passing of their player, Sinamandla Zondi, in a statement released by the club on Tuesday night.

The club expressed deep sadness over the loss of the talented footballer, describing Zondi as both an exceptional athlete and a beloved team member. “We are devastated by the passing of Sinamandla, who was not only a gifted player but also a cherished part of our football family,” the statement read.

While the cause of death has not been disclosed, the club requested privacy for Zondi’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. Tributes have poured in from teammates, coaches, and fans across South Africa’s football community, honoring Zondi’s dedication to the sport and his club.

Durban City FC indicated they would observe a moment of silence at their next match and are planning further tributes to honor Zondi’s memory. The Premier Soccer League has also extended condolences, acknowledging the profound loss to South African football.
