In a gripping narrative echoing a family saga, the Zimdollar family, prominent in the Mpangeni taxi industry, is embroiled in controversy as their daughter’s conduct raises eyebrows among fellow taxi operators.

According to sources within the taxi community, tensions have heightened as the Zimdollar family contends with the intervention of the National Intervention Unit (NIU), a development that could potentially disrupt the lives of family members.

Recently, local media met with taxi operators expressing their desire for a fair hearing, particularly in Macekane, Dlangubo, Bhukhanana, and Buka. They revealed that the Zimdollar family appears oblivious to the fact that their daughter is allegedly involved in activities that could tarnish the family’s reputation, as reported by the police.

Taxi operators are urging the family to address the situation promptly, emphasizing the urgency for the truth about their daughter’s lifestyle to be revealed to the community. The family’s response will play a pivotal role in determining whether they believe their daughter is still alive, as indicated by the police.

The arrival of the NIU has intensified tensions, leaving taxi operators uncertain about the future. One operator disclosed, “Zimdollar’s father should not act as if he is innocent about his daughter’s troubles with the law.”

Another taxi operator shared that the daughter, Vika Biyela, has become a focal point of discussion in the community. “She is causing havoc here in Mpangeni, Melmoth, and Showe. She is known for her involvement with an Indian businessman who was killed in Ballito. Currently, she is collecting money from female taxi drivers and friends, but when she takes the money, she disappears. She operates like an Uber, picking up passengers from major companies in Richards Bay. They are forced to pay her because she is feared.”

The NIU’s intervention has instilled hope among community members. However, the resolution of this family drama remains uncertain, and investigations are anticipated to shed light on the truth behind the allegations. The community, eager for closure, awaits the family’s response as the unfolding story captivates Mpangeni.
