Kaizer Chiefs new signing Given Msimango who put pen to paper on a lucrative bumper four year contract from TS Galaxy has earned high praise from Young Africans president Engineer Hersi Ally Said.

The former TS Galaxy captain made his unofficial debut in the colours of Kaizer Chiefs in an international match on Saturday, which ended 1-0 in favour of Young Africans.

What’s the story?

On Sunday, one of the leading sport publications in South Africa reported that Kaizer Chiefs new signing Given Msimango who primarily plays as a centre back defender has earned high praise from Yanga president Engineer Hersi Ally Said after his masterclass performance in defence at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium.

“I’ve seen Given (Msimango), the central defender who was at TS Galaxy. Kaizer Chiefs have signed a quality player in him. He looks like a modern defender with exceptional on-the-ball abilities. With the demands of the modern game ever increasing, defenders nowadays need to retain possession and stay calm and collected. He has those qualities”.

“I felt like defenders who are comfortable with the ball at their feet can allow the team to suck in the opposition and exploit the hole left in behind. He has the perfect structure and has a bright career ahead of him”.

Did you know?

Kaizer Chiefs new signing Given Msimango is one of the seven recruits who were officially unveiled at the Naturena based outfit during the current off season as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.

According to information obtained, we have since been fortunate enough to learn that Kaizer Chiefs have also acquired the services of Pule Mmodi, Ranga Chivaviro, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Tebogo Potsane, Edson Castillo and Thatayaone Ditlhokwe.
