Lededi Kapinga, the talented Bafana Bafana player, received mixed reviews from top journalists after the COSAFA semi-final match against Zambia on Friday night. While Kapinga was initially praised for his performance in the tournament’s first match, doubts have been cast on his ability to impress under different coaches.

Several journalists and fans expressed uncertainty about Kapinga’s off-the-ball performance. Despite his undeniable skill on the ball, they believe he lacks the determination and effort required to win possession. “He is lazy,” one fan said. This has raised questions about his work ethic and commitment to defensive responsibilities.

Kapinga needs to improve in this aspect of his game to become a more well-rounded player if he wants to play for big teams like the Chiefs and Pirates in the future.

An award-winning journalist Mazola Molefe highlighted that the COSAFA tournament exposed the reasons behind Kapinga’s lack of regular playing time at Sundowns. Coach Manqoba Mmgqithi had previously expressed concerns about Kapinga’s work ethic without the ball. Although the coach was willing to help him improve, it seems that Kapinga’s strengths lie primarily in his ball skills.

Despite the discussions surrounding Kapinga’s performance, Bafana coach Morena Ramoreboli is yet to grant him a significant amount of playing time. This has left us wondering about the coach’s perspective and plans for Kapinga. It remains to be seen whether the coach sees potential in Kapinga’s abilities and whether he will be given more opportunities to prove himself on the field and play 90 minutes more often. He is struggling to finish 90 minutes.

Maybe Kapinga may thrive under a different coach like his successful stint at Leopards. According to Mazola, only two players, Mogaila and Human, had exceptional performances in the tournament. Human should stay in the PSL.

Kapinga could regain his form and display his true potential under a coach who can unlock his abilities effectively.

There is optimism that Kapinga may thrive under different coaches. who can harness his abilities effectively? As Kapinga continues his football journey, it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Kapinga.

This tournament proved why Kapinga wasn’t getting minutes at Sundowns.
He’s got a lot to work on. https://t.co/nDSkUqu7m5
