Former Orlando Pirates Player A Free Agent Following His Release From Chippa United

Former Orlando Pirates player Meshack Maphangule becomes one of the latest free agents in the PSL after Chippa United decided to release him.

Maphangule made only nine appearances in all competitions for the Chilli Boys in the 2023/24 campaign and with the return of Morgan Mammila at the club as their head coach, it is believed that he is surplus to requirements and has now been released.

Meshack spent only one season with Chippa United in the DStv Premiership as a permanent player in their books but also played for them in the 2019/20 season on loan from Orlando Pirates.

He joined Orlando Pirates football club in the 2018/19 campaign but with lack of game-time he completed the loan move to Chippa.

Meshack also played for Black Leopards, Marumo Gallants and Pretoria Callies FC. Since Chippa United released Meshack Maphangule he is now a free agent and available to sign for any interested party.

Chippa United also added a few new additions to their squad ahead of the 2023/24 campaign as they signed former Orlando Pirates players Augustine Mulenga, Craig Martin and Luvuyo Memela recently in the transfer window.

Chippa United had a difficult campaign last season as they narrowly escaped relegation but hopefully with new additions in the form of former Pirates players they might land a better position on the DStv Premiership standings next season.

The Chilli Boys might also still get very busy in the transfer window in the next days to rope in more players to further strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
