Former President Jacob Zuma received a 15-month prison term in 2021 for refusing to appear before the Zondo Commission, where he was supposed to testify. The DA claims it is pleased with today’s Concourt decision and maintains that former President Jacob Zuma must be sent back to prison to complete his term. The party claimed that its attorneys are presently writing a letter to Zuma demanding that he voluntarily turn himself in for arrest within a reasonable amount of time. If he fails, it will request that the director of Correctional Services frogmarches him to his cell in the KwaZulu-Natal prison Estcourt.
