Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has publicly expressed his heartfelt gratitude to radio personality Given Mkhari and the team at Power FM for helping him escape a dangerous situation involving a local cult. In a statement shared this week, Dr. Ndlozi emphasized that their intervention was life-changing, and he would never return to the environment he describes as manipulative and harmful.

“I would like to thank Given Mkhari and Power FM for saving me from that cult,” Dr. Ndlozi said. “Even if they rolled out a red carpet, I would not go back. Stay where you are loved and respected.”

The former EFF parliamentarian, who has long been in the public eye for his outspoken political views, revealed that the experience had been a deeply isolating and confusing period. He acknowledged that intervention from trusted friends and media professionals was crucial in helping him regain clarity and safety.

Dr. Ndlozi’s message carries a broader lesson for the public about the importance of seeking help when in toxic or unsafe situations. He urged individuals to recognize their own worth and to remain in environments where they are valued, respected, and treated with dignity. The former political leader stressed that no allure whether it’s fame, power, or promises of opportunity is worth sacrificing personal safety and mental well-being.

Media platforms, such as Power FM, played a pivotal role in Dr. Ndlozi’s escape. Given Mkhari, a respected radio host, acted quickly upon learning about the situation, providing guidance, counsel, and access to resources to ensure that Dr. Ndlozi could safely leave the harmful environment.

Experts say Dr. Ndlozi’s story is a reminder of the hidden dangers that exist in certain influential groups or organizations and highlights the crucial role that media and community networks can play in rescuing individuals in distress.

Dr. Ndlozi concluded by encouraging others to remain vigilant and to never compromise on their own safety or self-respect. His experience serves as a warning and an inspiration for anyone facing manipulation or coercion, showing that with support and courage, it is possible to reclaim freedom and dignity.

Power FM and Given Mkhari were widely praised on social media following Dr. Ndlozi’s statement, with many calling their actions “heroic” and “life-saving.”
