Senzo Meyiwa’s widow Mandisa pens heartfelt message to daughter on 17th birthday

Senzo Meyiwa’s daughter Ayabonga Meyiwa who is the product of his marriage with his widow Mandisa Mkhize was shown plenty of love on Friday, 23 June 2023, when she celebrated her 17th birthday.


On this special occasion, her mother, Mandisa Mkhize joined in the congratulatory train as she sent her a heartfelt message.

What’s the story?

On Friday, Senzo Meyiwa’s widow Mandisa Mkhize who previously worked as an HR officer at Nedbank took to her Instagram account where she shared a rare recent photo of her daughter Ayabonga Meyiwa who recently celebrated her latest birthday.

As part of her caption, Mandisa Mkhize penned a heartfelt message to her now 17 year old daughter who is the apple of her heart where she wrote, “Dear beautiful daughter of mine. Thank you so much for giving me the best years of my life and many more to come”.

“I’m really proud of the young woman you are growing to be. Caring, respectful and loving. Happiest birthday to you princess. You know the song I always play for you The Blessings, may his favour be upon you”.

Meanwhile, as of late, a number of Mandisa Mkhize’s fans and followers have since taken to her comment section where they sent their congratulatory and birthday messages to her daughter as she celebrates her special day.

Did you know?

Former Orlando Pirates number one goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa who was shot and killed in a home invasion on 26 October 2014 at aged 27 in Vosloorus was a regular at club level and he had also earned a number of senior caps in the national team setup of South Africa.

According to his player profile on German website 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘵, “Nzori” as he was affectionately known as met his tragic demise having earned 7 international caps in the national team setup of South Africa.
