The Alfred Nzo District Commissioner, Major General Nompumelelo Majikijela, expressed her deep shock and dismay upon discovering the brutal murder of a woman in the Masakala Administration Area on Friday, 16 June 2023.
On that fateful day around noon, the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Maluti received a report about the body of a female found outside an abandoned homestead in Masakala A/A. The investigation revealed that some of the victim’s body parts were missing. The woman was identified as Nomajama Khetsiwe, aged 41, and some of her personal belongings were discovered a short distance away from her body.
According to her family, Nomajama was last seen at her home in Masakala on Monday, 12 June 2023. The police suspect that her body was dumped at the location where it was found.
As of now, a murder case is currently under investigation. The SAPS Maluti is calling upon the community to provide any assistance that could aid in solving this tragic incident.
