Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) members, SAPS and paramedics were dispatched to a shooting scene in Verulam (KwaZulu-Natal Province), and on arrival a male victim was confirmed deceased.
According to the Reaction Unit South Africa news report, yesterday, Saturday, 6 May 2023 at around 19:00 pm a well-known Taxi boss was shot at 21 times by armed gunmen who were driving a Toyota Etios with a GP registration, the victim ejected from his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot but collapsed after a few meters.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) members and paramedics were called to the scene, and when they arrived the victim was confirmed deceased, the motive behind the murder is unknown at this stage.
Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects should contact the saps or report at the nearest police station.
