A black cloud of death hung over the province of Kwa-Zulu Natal as another person close to the King reportedly got killed on Saturday, outside uLundi. This was after Mbuyisa reportedly got killed outside business premises in ULundi. The deceased served as King Misuzulu’s eye, known as ” iso lesilo”.

Moving on to the roles he played, it was reported that he was known as a traditional leader in KwaNobamba. The MEC of COGTA, Bongi Sithole Moloi expressed devastation with the murder of the King’s associate. She added that the killing of Mbuyisa was a threat to the kingdom of the Zulu royal family. As a result, a call was made for the law enforcement agencies to work hard and bring the perpetrators to book.

The MEC went on and sent messages of condolences to the deceased’s family and the king himself for the loss of Mbuyisa. As for the possible motive behind the killings of the traditional leaders in KZN, the MEC Sithole reportedly informed media a few days ago that it could be land disputes, chieftainship, and even family disputes.

The latest killing of Mbuyisa came after another killing which took place of David Mkhize. He allegedly got killed at the hands of people who pretended to be in need of assistance. These killings in the province of KZN are disturbing and concerning as it is unknown who may be killed next.

There is therefore a need for police to make sure that they do their job and find the people responsible for the killing of Mbuyisa, before another person falls victim again. Police have to use all the resources to find those responsible for the killing of the innocent traditional leader who was the King’s Eye. May the soul of the ” iso lesilo” rest in peace
