The Minister of Corporate Governance and Traditional Affairs Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma was among cabinet members who attended the Cabinet lekgotla in Pretoria on Thursday.

Nkosazana was asked a few questions about her position amid the imminent cabinet reshuffle. There are some people who do not expect Dlamini-Zuma to survive the reshuffle, especially after her series of criticism against President Cyril Ramaphosa towards the December conference.

Her critics over Ramaphosa were even topped up by her defying the party’s solution to vote against the adoption of the Phala Phala report. However, the minister has confidently indicated that, at the moment she is active in her role.

“Maybe the time is coming, but it has not yet arrived.” Dlamini-Zuma said. She said that she is still around and available. “When they say that I’m not around, please correct them and let them know that I’m still around.” Dlamini-Zuma added.

The December conference is now history, there is no leader who is discrediting other leaders anymore. All eyes are on the cabinet reshuffle, which has become a topic of many people.

We will only get a clear direction of how our government will operate after the reshuffle has been completed and made official. The current situation must be giving some of our leaders sleepless nights.
