Few months ago, some people were making jokes about the former Premier of KwaZulu-Natal province Sihle Zikalala after he got defeated on the African National Congress KwaZulu-Natal provincial election.
Things went from bad to worse when comrade Sihle Zikalala could not make it to the provincial executive committee (PEC). To many this was seen as the end of his political career and support in KwaZulu-Natal province.
He resigned from his government position, as Premier of KwaZulu-Natal province to make a way of new leadership of the party.
Now the Former African National Congress KwaZulu-Natal Chairperson Sihle Zikalala has made a dramatic political comeback, topping branch nominations for the party’s national executive committee additional positions.
When the former president of the Republic of South Africa and African National Congress who’s the Chairperson of the African National Congress Election committee Kgalema Motlanthe announced the list of National Executive Committee nominations, Sihle Zikalala was enjoying number one position.
