A masked singer has given up his bones, he went public with his love affair with a popular Mnambithi actress, which he says led him to decide to propose to her.
Phumani “Imfezemnyama” Khumalo from Madwaleni, Nquthu, is said to have been shooting photos for her new album with Sabelo ‘Ntombeningi’ Sithole on Wednesday when she got down on one knee and proposed to this young man who is her lover.
It is reported that Ntombeningi had no idea that he would go out after having his engagement ring installed at the studio in Maboneng, Johannesburg.
Solezwe on Sunday spoke to Mfezemnyama, said that their relationship started as friendship but they decided to fall in love last month this year.
Mfezemnyama said that this is the first time he is in love with someone of the same gender as he previously loved women.
“The thing that attracted me to Ntombeningi is his respect. He had no idea that I was going to ask him to get married,” said the singer.
Continuing, he said, his relationship with his people has become strained but he will follow his heart which leads him to Ntombeningi.
When asked about his child if he agrees with his decision, he said that since he is old, he can see what is going on between him and his lover.
“My intention is to continue with the decision we have made with Ntombeningi and I don’t want to pay attention to what the family and people say they don’t agree with what we are doing.
I have no fear at all about taking this decision because we love each other. We will continue to love each other and see where we meet each other but our intention is to get married completely. We will follow all the steps taken,” explained Imfezemyanma.
He also revealed that since he came out with his love for Ntombeningi, the ladies he has dated ask him why he decided to love someone of the same sex as him but he told himself to forget about it.
When Ntombeningi was contacted, he said that when he turned to Mfezi in the studio who was kneeling on the ground holding the ring, he couldn’t believe it.
“What I noticed is that the people we were with had knowledge of what was planned. When Mfezi told me to wear a white wedding dress, I didn’t really pay attention to the fact that there was something on you. I just followed the instructions that were given to me. What is strange to me is that she is wearing a suit when I have never seen her wearing it,” explained Ntombeningi.
The couple’s song, which they sing together with Proud, is: Ngenelela, which will be available on music platforms on December 9.
The couple promised that they would invite the newspaper to their wedding the day their date came out.
This week, a photo of the couple proposing to each other was circulated, but people thought they were joking, as they were laughed at on social media.
