Corrupt people have devastated black communities by stealing from infrastructure projects in villages and townships. Roads are collapsing because there is no money.
The president is skirting the main part of his job description, which is to reform, restructure and repurpose the public service, especially municipalities. To do that he’d need to replace a lot of crooks in his cabinet, which is unlikely to happen anytime soon. Till then, the promises about investing in roads will remain, well, promises.
The new councilors are still not aware that it falls upon their shoulders to generate economic development, jobs, houses, and social infrastructure, all that from resources they don’t have.
Report
In a video that has shocked a lot of people, A man and his ‘son’ were in a river pulling a sealed container out of the water. Judging by the language that they were speaking with onlookers, one can only assume that the incident happened in Eastern Cape.
The man can be heard speaking to the container, asking, “are you still alive?”, which made onlookers laugh. They then said a human being is heavy, which was a confirmation that whatever they were pulling out was a human being.
When they got to the riverbank, they opened the sealed container, and an old woman came out. This could only mean that due to lack of infrastructure, the people from this village are using containers as submarines.

Public’s Opinion
This video has angered the masses, who are blaming the government and Oscar Mabuyane, citing that they are rich, living a luxurious lifestyle when the masses continue to be subjected to poverty.
Opinion
Most councilors are still to learn that the tranches from the provinces that they are leading are a drop in the ocean of thousands of unmet needs because they took a job way out of their competence. Their provinces continue to lack a culture of community development.
Due to its values, the ANC in the Eastern Cape province lacks the required political will, strategic capability, and leaders who are committed to introducing and driving the organizational transformation of the ANC from a deeply corrupt party to an effective champion of rapid development.
