We live in a country where unemployment and poverty have messed up a lot of people that they do not care if they kill others. Lawlessness is rife and jealousy is at its peak. South Africa has lost its true sense of love and care.
The youth is to be blamed for this despicable crime. We have a very serious problem of inactive youth who have found solace in substances. This youth has been reduced to walking zombies who only yearn for a fix and can do anything to finance their addiction.
At some point, criminals need to take responsibility for their actions. It is ludicrous to allow barbaric acts to be given an ounce of pity by saying their circumstances are to blame for the unspeakable acts of violence against their fellow citizens.
In a CCTV footage shared by South Africa Daily, an unsuspecting victim was murdered in cold blood by hijackers when he arrived at his complex in Johannesburg at around 22:30 on the 20th of January, 2022.
When he entered the complex, one of the hijackers tried to get him out of the car but the victim tried to fight him off, and that is when the suspect fired gunshots, killing the driver instantly.
The security guard who was on duty at the time of the incident ran for his life.
