It Seems like illegal foreigners’ time in Mzansi is up. All over social media, people are calling for all illegal foreigners to be deported to their respective countries. In some parts of Gauteng, like Tembisa, people have started a movement called “Operation Dudula” which aims at removing all the illegal foreigners from the neighbourhoods. Ever since it started, many foreigners have been arrested and deported back to their countries.
Another focus of the dudula movement is ensuring that companies employ more local citizens than foreigners because there have been many companies that employ foreigners for low wages. This idea was also supported by the Mighty EFF, who claims that 60% of employees in every company must be local residents. Last week they were visiting companies that are well known for employing foreigners to send a message that foreigners must not dominate local citizens.
Following all that, there has been a trending poster on social media inviting people to a meeting that will be held in Gauteng. According to the post, the main agenda is to spread operations Dudula to all regions of Gauteng and other provinces. This is because there are some regions in Gauteng where those illegal foreigners who were chased in Bara have relocated to. See details of the post below:
Many people are in support of this idea. They retweeted and shared the poster so that the word could be spread all over. Those who know where most foreigners stay commented on the venue and made a call for the operator to visit those locations too. Indeed, people have had the energy of these foreigners. They are tired of all the dirty work they do and taking jobs from local citizens. See some of the comments from people on this post:
Opinion
The only solution to unemployment and crime is to send these foreigners back to their countries. We are not fighting with them, but they have to understand that South Africans need these jobs as much as they do. We cannot fight unemployment while foreigners are employed in our country. They must go.
