Ever since the infamous 30-day notice against the African National Congress’ secretary general Ace Magashule was placed on the table, South Africa has been waiting for this day. Magashule got suspended and he challenged the ANC and Cyril Ramaphosa in a court of law. He believed that his suspension was unlawful and it was Cyril Ramaphosa who was supposed to get suspended.
The count down and the wait is finally, Ace Magashule will be going head to head with the ANC today in the high court. The case was been decided as a 2-day case and will run from Thursday to Friday, that is 24th of June to the 25th of June. The suspended Ace Magashule will be fighting to get his suspension lifted and to get the president suspended instead.
People will get to watch this whole thing unfold right in front of their eyes as it has never been seen before. It is practically the ANC vs the ANC. Magashule still insists that the whole step aside resolution was specifically designed for him to suffer and be thrown out of the ANC and will try to prove it in the court of law.
He says that there are a lot of people across the provinces who have been charged but didn’t get the same spotlight he has gotten, this means that they were just a side effect of the mission by the Cyril Ramaphosa faction to get rid of him. Going into this court case, he believes that he has a better chance at winning this than the ANC, but all shall be revealed today.
It has been rumoured many times that Dali Mpofu will be the one representing the suspended secretary general, it has not been fully confirmed but the country will soon know the truth. This will be a historic case, never before has the ANC fine against its self since its inception. This will show if the ANC is not fit to lead the country forward or if it is the people within the ANC that a causing all this havoc, we will finally see who stands for Magashule and who stands for Zuma
