Niqita Pieterse who has been living with HIV for 10 years says virus did not limit her from anything instead, she have learnt to live with this small bug who tried to rule her life, but failed as a result “we have now become one.”
Pieterse who was diagnosed with HIV at the age of 18, said she have survived raped twice by her uncle and a unknown man. “I have survived abuse from my mom. I grew up in a orphanage and I was conceived from rape. I got diagnosed at 18 with a cd4 of below100.10 years later, I’m stil here thanks to my ARVs.”
She added: “Ever had to be sexualy abused while pregnant simply because you needed accommodation, yep that was me.”
Theo Lesabe said: “One of the best ways to fight stigma and empower HIV- positive people is by speaking openly and honestly about who you’re and what you experience. Much respect for you my sister.”
Mbekezeli said: “They tried to bury you. Unknown to them that you’re a seed on a fertile ground. You’re an inspiration, a motivation. God’s is for us all.”
