Sophie Ndaba Lichaba spectacular performance on Lockdown Mzansi Magic had everyone heaping praises on her.
The 48-year-old plays the role of Palesa, a nurse at Kgotsong Asylum who is ready to wreak havoc in the facility. Palesa is a nurse with a scar on her mouth and can best be described as a broken woman who is going through a lot after a divorce. Despite this, she still wants to be loved.
“Palesa is a broken woman. She represents women out there who are broken. She just wants to be happy but she is stuck in difficult circumstances. Of course, it revolves around the prison world but it is a little different to what people have seen so far.” – Sophie Ndaba Lichaba
She said that she could relate to the struggles of her character after her own battle with depression.
The viewers have been closely following the development of Sophie’s character, but it is her latest storyline that has truly won over viewers’ hearts. Especially after all she went through about her life.
