South African composer Lebo M has disclosed details of the child maintenance arrangement between sports personality Robert Marawa and actress Zoe Mthiyane. In a recent episode of the Engineer Your Life podcast, Lebo M addressed ongoing disputes with his ex-fiancée Zoe Mthiyane, revealing that Marawa pays R2,500 per month for their son.
Lebo M explained that he refuses to provide financial support for his daughter with Zoe, citing concerns that the funds would indirectly benefit Marawa’s child. “I don’t want my child support money to support another man’s child,” he stated. He noted the R2,500 figure appears in court documents and confirmed Marawa’s payments began after a court order was issued.
Zoe Mthiyane shares two children, a son with Marawa and a daughter with Lebo M. Lebo M, known for his work on The Lion King, emphasised that he supports his other children, who reside in America, through dollar-based payments rather than local bank accounts. He currently has five or six children abroad and questioned the logic of sending money to South Africa.
The revelations follow Zoe’s own podcast appearance, where she discussed her relationships with both men and claimed she warned Lebo M’s current partner, Pretty Samuels, about him. Lebo M dismissed some of her allegations, including claims of a toxic relationship, and countered accusations regarding his accent and financial status.
The public exchanges have sparked widespread discussion on social media about co-parenting dynamics, respect in relationships, and celebrity accountability. Zoe previously expressed losing respect for Marawa during a critical period in their relationship, highlighting her preference for a strong leadership dynamic in partnerships.
This latest chapter in the high-profile saga underscores the complexities of blended families and public scrutiny in the entertainment industry.
