Former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) spokesperson and political analyst Mbuyiseni Ndlozi is allegedly being influenced by the political establishment, according to political activist Mcebo Dlamini, who is worried about his changing political trajectory. The former EFF leader seems to be straying from the ideals that initially differentiated him in South African politics, according to Dlamini, who expressed his disapproval of Ndlozi during a recent meeting.Because he’s trying to be someone he’s not, Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has my disapproval.
“The system is capturing him,” Dlamini informed him over the phone.Dlamini expressed his concern that Ndlozi is being moulded into “another Thabo Mbeki” by some political and intellectual circles. This is in reference to the former president of South Africa, whose economic policies have been criticised by left-wing critics as being connected with neoliberalism. His potential categorisation as a second Thabo Mbeki is a source of concern for me. He’s being shaped into yet another neoliberal, Dlamini said. These comments are reflective of the heated discussions happening in South Africa’s political sphere right now about progressive politics’ future course, leadership, and philosophy.
According to Dlamini, Ndlozi is running the danger of abandoning the radical ideas that garnered him the support of numerous young South Africans. Dlamini has made it clear that he is critical of mainstream political and economic systems.Having left party politics behind, Ndlozi has become more active in academia, the media, and policy conversations as an independent public figure in recent years.
From various political quarters, he has received both acclaim and condemnation for his expanding influence in intellectual circles.People who back Ndlozi say he’s mature politically and can handle different opinions because of his participation in national debates.
But his detractors say that by shifting his stance, he is backing away from the radical politics he formerly supported.Given the ongoing nature of discussions in South Africa’s political discourse surrounding economic policy, governance, and ideological identity, Dlamini’s remarks are sure to ignite additional discussion among political analysts and supporters of both politicians.Ndlozi had not addressed Dlamini’s comments publicly as of this writing.
