South Africa’s national team postponed its Sunday departure to Mexico after several players’ visa applications for the country remained unprocessed. The trip was meant for final preparations ahead of their June 5 friendly against Jamaica and the June 11 Group A opener versus co-hosts Mexico.
Fans expressed frustration with SAFA’s handling, calling it poor planning and referencing past oversights like team manager Vincent Tseka’s sideline mishap during qualification. With less than two weeks until kickoff, the squad hopes to resolve the snag quickly to stay on track.
