Actor Bonko Khoza has publicly denied allegations of sexual assault made by fellow actress Nirvana Nokwe Mseleku, stating that the incident in question was a fully clothed, choreographed stunt scene.

In an official statement released on 18 May 2026, Khoza said the allegations are serious and should be treated as such for the sake of all victims of sexual assault. However, he denied that he sexually assaulted or committed any misconduct toward Nokwe Mseleku or the production.

Khoza explained that the scene was discussed beforehand, choreographed and rehearsed with Nokwe Mseleku, the director of photography, the director and the stunt coordinator. He added that a stunt double was offered to her, which she declined. He said every action he performed on set was strictly in line with the script, the agreed choreography, and under the supervision of senior production personnel.

Khoza noted that more than 12 crew members were present on set that night, including the director, script supervisor, producer, sound and camera teams. He said none of them observed or reported any behaviour resembling the allegations.

He also said he requested and attended a meeting with the production team and his agent the following day to raise his concerns and ensure the matter was handled properly. He asked for a follow-up meeting with a broader group of representatives to clarify what happened and agree on a way forward.
