The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) decided not to proceed with prosecution against a 58-year-old man arrested on charges of murder and attempted murder following a fatal road rage incident in Emmarentia, Johannesburg, citing insufficient evidence pending further investigations.
The incident involved a minor collision that escalated, with the deceased man’s wife retrieving a firearm from their car and handing it to him, after which the suspect fired shots, killing the husband and injuring the wife. The suspect has been released, and the case is on hold until sufficient evidence is gathered.
