‘Now it’s you’: Fans react to Itumeleng Khune’s wife’s moon boot

Sphelele Makhunga’s followers on Instagram couldn’t help but link her moon boot to that of her husband’s ex-girlfriend, Sbahle Mpisane .

Instagram users took a swipe at Itumeleng Khune’s wife, Sphelele Makhunga, after she posted photos of herself sporting a moon boot on her right foot .

The Case of the Moon Boot

The buzz around the moon boot comes from the fact that Sphelele is married to the legendary goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, who used to date fitness fanatic Sbahle Mpisane .

Sbahle, who’s still grappling with her condition, is now permanently injured on her right foot after surviving a horrific car accident in 2018, and as a result, she has to wear a moon boot for the rest of her life . The fitness influencer narrowly avoided amputation following the crash and wears the boot to protect her spine, not because she cannot walk .

The first picture of Sphelele shows her doting on her two daughters in the park, whilst the remaining two showcase her moon boot .

Sphelele’s Forever Catching Strays

Itumeleng Khune has been in relationships with some of the most famous women in the entertainment industry, such as Minnie Dlamini and Sbahle Mpisane .

Consequently, Sphelele has often found herself unfairly caught in the mix of situations, such as when a troll made snarky remarks about her marriage, insinuating that it will also fall apart just like Itumeleng’s relationship with Minnie .

Sphelele clearly did not take kindly to this and shot back with a fiery “Are you, God?” Her response was refreshing since she rarely engages in social media drama .

Despite the online chatter, the couple continues to share glimpses of their happy family life on social media, recently posting matching outfit photos with the caption “Happiness looks good to us” .
