Reality TV star Musa Mseleku recently opened up about why he asked his fifth wife, Samke “MaKhwela” Khwela, to resign from her job during the latest season of Uthando Nes’thembu. The popular reality show, which airs on Mzansi Magic, follows Mseleku’s polygamous family life and often sparks heated discussions among viewers.

During a recent episode, Mseleku addressed speculation from fans who believed he forced MaKhwela to quit working. The businessman explained that his decision was not meant to control his wife but rather to help her focus on family responsibilities and her new life within the Mseleku household.

According to Mseleku, adjusting to life in a large polygamous family can be challenging, especially for a new wife. He said he wanted MaKhwela to have enough time to settle into the family, care for their child and participate fully in household duties. In traditional polygamous families, wives often play key roles in maintaining the home and supporting the family structure.

Mseleku also explained that balancing a demanding job with the expectations of the Mseleku household could place unnecessary pressure on MaKhwela. By stepping away from her job, he believed she would be able to focus on motherhood and building stronger relationships with her sister wives. The reality TV star stressed that the decision was discussed between them and was not forced upon her.

The revelation sparked mixed reactions on social media. Some viewers supported Mseleku’s explanation, saying it aligns with traditional family values. Others criticised the decision, arguing that women should have the freedom to maintain their careers regardless of their marital situation.

Despite the debate, MaKhwela appears to have embraced her role in the family and continues to feature prominently on the show. As the latest season of Uthando Nes’thembu unfolds, fans remain eager to see how the dynamics between Mseleku and his wives continue to evolve.
